The safety and quality of our products are top priorities, and that includes protecting them during the colder months. Starting November 1, 2026, we will enter our annual Freeze Protect Season, which will run through April 15, 2027.

During this period, we implement additional packaging materials, temperature-monitoring devices, specialized handling procedures, and shipping services to help ensure our customers’ shipments remain protected from freezing temperatures while in transit. These precautions apply to the following product lines (by prefix): 459G, 699N, 850G, 851G, 852G, 855G, 856G, 857G, 858G, and 953G.

Freeze Protect Services and Fees:

  • Shipping Schedule: Freeze Protect products are primarily shipped early in the week, typically on Mondays and Tuesdays, to reduce the risk of extended transit times over weekends.
  • Freeze Protect Fee: A $60.00 fee will be applied to all Freeze Protect overpack boxes.

Over the past several years, Fluorogistx has absorbed the increased costs associated with Freeze Protect packaging and shipping services, including insulated overpacks, freeze indicators, packaging materials and labor expenses. While we have worked to minimize the impact of these cost increases on our customers, the cumulative rise in packaging and operational costs now requires an adjustment to our Freeze Protect fee.

The revised $60.00 fee helps offset a portion of the costs associated with providing the enhanced protection necessary to maintain product integrity throughout the winter season and ensures that we can continue delivering the level of quality and service our customers expect.

  • Overnight Service: Overnight service is available for critical shipments, except for product codes 850-7799 and 850G-204, which are shipped via freight only.

Receiving Freeze-Protected Shipments

When you receive a freeze-protected shipment, it is important to follow these procedures:

  • Inspect the product before signing the Bill of Lading. Open the box and inspect the shipment immediately upon delivery.
  • Check the freeze indicator. If the indicator is broken or has turned blue/purple, the product may have been exposed to freezing temperatures during transit.
  • Do not reject the shipment. Instead, sign the Bill of Lading with the following notation:
“Frozen Shipment Will Accept to Determine Extent of Damage.”
  • Evaluate the product. Allow the material to sit overnight, reincorporate the coating the following day, and evaluate its condition and performance.
  • Notify Fluorogistx within four (4) days of receipt if any damage is identified. Please contact Corey Leigh at (302) 479-7734 or via email at corey.leigh@fluorogistx.com.

Please ensure this information is shared with all relevant departments within your organization, including Shipping, Receiving, Procurement, Customer Service, and Operations, so that all teams are aware of the Freeze Protect requirements and procedures for the upcoming season.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to serving you throughout the 2026-2027 Freeze Protect season.
